Type of dive: shore dive
Rating for this dive site: 6/10 as a long walk, 8/10 for rock walls, 7/10 for life
Parking: space for about six cars but this is a narrow road
Boat ramp: none
Ease of entry: 6/10 actual entry is ok but its a long walk [Wheel chair access: No]
Abundance of life: 7/10
Attractions: lots of walls, and depth, some have seen six gill sharks here, but not me
Bottom and depth: rocky with some sand, and lots of rock walls
Facilities: none
Hazards/Obstacles:
Sensitivity to tide/current: current and tide are not really a problem here. Safe place to dive during storms that affect Victoria
Terrain: rocky, coarse sand between rocks, solid rock walls

A few people have already asked me about "What is that pink stuff on the rocks in some of the pictures?" Well, they're usually Pink Rock Crust (aka Encrusting Coralline Algae) or in some cases might even be Encrusting Hydrocorals. They're eaten by a variety of animals - apparently as a good source of calcium.

The parking lot for McKenzie Bight. Very small. At best it might hold 8-10 cars. Have to leave some room to turn around.
